Three in a row H. Raab via Compfight

I learned so much about creative commons and how to properly site a photo that I used. I learned how it is important to be intentional about how I cite the images I use and why it is important to give the artist their credit. My favorite creative commons app is Compfight.

A Quest for Seahorses

I am experimenting with a new form of technology. I recently created a Webquest for my students that was based on Seahorses. The goal of this webquest was to introduce a new way to receive information that included technology. The students had to search through websites to answer questions based on seahorses. I really liked how I was able to add websites and videos that suited my content area. I enjoyed creating this Webquest for my students and introducing them to how interesting seahorses are.

Gravity? Gravity!

Today we presented science-based activities that could be used in the classroom. My topic was gravity! Gravity is such a complex concept but my partner and I condensed it into a short activity that can be used with children K-2. We worked with the concept of making predictions, testing those predictions, then using a chart to interpret what the results are. The goal is for the students to predict which objects will fall to the ground the fastest using a ruler and stopwatch.  This exciting activity engages students and helps them build their science concepts.
